On 21 August 2023, Shah Rukh Khan was selected as the recipient of the Dadasaheb Phalke Award, the highest honor in Indian cinema. The award will be given to him on September 15, 2023, on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti.

 Shah Rukh Khan is one of the most popular and successful actors in India. He acted in more than 100 films and won many awards including 1 

 Filmfare Awards. He is known for his versatility and ability to play different roles. He is also a successful businessman and owns the production company Red Chillies Entertainment.

 The Dadasaheb Phalke Award is named after Dadasaheb Phalke, who is considered the father of Indian cinema. The award is given to individuals who have made significant contributions to the Indian film industry.
